Dejá Zapata-Davis, a beloved member of the Zapata-Davis family, has left a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. Born in Southern California in 2014, Dejá's journey began with uncertainty but soon blossomed into a life filled with love and purpose.

Rescued as an abandoned pup by her devoted human parents, Alex and Brian, Dejá quickly became the heart and soul of the family. With Brian's nurturing care, she flourished into the formidable animal Matriarch, overseeing the household with unwavering dedication for 11 joyous years. Her role as a protector extended beyond her human family as she kept the yard safe for the children to play, embodying her innate sense of duty and loyalty.

Educated at the prestigious School of Homestead Protection and Child Rearing, Dejá honed her skills as a guardian and nurturer. Her protective nature was matched only by her strength and unwavering love for those closest to her. Whether it was providing comfort to her human sister Rebecca or standing watch over her human brothers Ryder and Brian Jr., Dejá's presence brought warmth and security to all who knew her.

In addition to her human family, Dejá leaves behind a legacy of pet siblings who looked up to her as a mentor. Her younger protege Thor, Little Julie, Boots, Rogue and Angel will always remember Dejá's companionship.

Dejá Zapata-Davis passed away in Astoria, OR, after a sudden onset of cancer.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Dejá for the indelible mark she left on her family's hearts. She was loved immensely and will never be forgotten.
