Goodbye my Queen.
From 2010 to 9.10.2022.
JouJou,
You were the first cat I ever adopted by myself. You were such a little feisty fuzzball.
And I didn't know when I named you JouJou, you'd actually live up to that name, "Bad JouJou".
You were a badass. A true warrior. A cat that every person and cat alike knew to not mess with.
You were there for me from my senior year of high school, to mortuary school and moving to Pittsburgh, graduating, getting my internship and then my job. You were my comfort through so many of my ups and downs.
For all of that, I could never, ever thank you enough.
Thank you for being there. Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you.
It's never really goodbye. I know I'll see you later. And you're probably saying, 'You fool. You look like a mess. I'm okay now. And you'll be okay.'
I know you're still with me. You're permanently etched into every fiber of my being.
You went exactly how you should have.
Peacefully. But stubbornly. As usual.
No more needles. No more medicine. No more bloody noses, vets, or pain.
No more of that damn tumor or cancer that you never deserved to have.
But you gave that cancer a run for its money and it didn't win.
You wouldn't let it. I wouldn't let it.
You're the real queen. The real winner in that battle. You're free.
I love you.
JouJou is survived by her loving fur mama, Bethany; her grandparents, Michelle and Charlie; her great-grandmother, Patty; 'aunt', Lindsay; all of her 'tolerated' fur-siblings and many other family members, including cousins and aunts, who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her fur-siblings, Binx, Kyo, Sassy, Angel, and Clarice and her great-grandparents, Maggie, Mike, and Charlie Sr.
A sincere and special thank you to Camelot Veterinary Clinic; Doc, Kelly, and Michelle for always making JouJou a priority and being there for her and for our family, every step of the way. We don't know what we would do without you. And thank you to Fairmont Veterinary Clinic and Dr. Scott Moore for his care and help transitioning JouJou onto palliative care.
In lieu of floral tributes, donations can be made in remembrance of JouJou to the animal rescue: c/o Michelle Soroka, M. Sorokas Angel Rescue, 105 Fairview St, Brownsville, PA 15417.
