Penelope Brown

On August 6th, 2022 at around 2pm the Brown family said goodbye to our beloved Penelope as she crossed the rainbow bridge.

 

She was roughly 11 years old and had many affectionate nicknames from little Miss P, to our little Chupacabra, a nickname she earned for the way she’d turn into a ball of raised hair and snarls when she’d embarrass me on walks when we’d run into stranger’s dogs.

 

She will always be remembered for her love of Judy Garland, fuzzy blankets, food in general, and the love she gave our family. Christmas was always a special time with her, she loved her presents and she loved having her whole family together. She was always known for her adorable get ups and dresses, always being a true fashionista with her nails painted and the sparkliest of collars.

 

We adopted her from the shelter which meant she came with her fair share of quirks, from a funny little spay tattoo which earned her the title of “tattoo queen”, to her habit of nursing on blankets and your clothes, we loved everything about her. Even when she’d do a complete handstand to pee, we’d just crack up at how we had the most interesting dog in the world. Her sense of humor was impeccable, she had such a personable face you’d know she was trying with her whole heart to understand you.

 

We will miss her everyday and her loss is one of the hardest out family has ever had to navigate. We only hope she’s somewhere over the rainbow right now with Judy Garland herself.
